The Lancet One Health Commission Report (Digital Launch)

This event marks the official launch of the Lancet One Health Commission Report, a publication that redefines how we think about and act on health in a rapidly changing world. It brings together global experts, policymakers, and practitioners for a critical conversation on the report’s key findings and recommendations.

One Health is an integrated approach that recognizes the interconnections between humans, animals, and the shared environment. It calls for collaborative, cross-sectoral efforts to tackle complex global challenges such as emerging infectious diseases, climate change, and ecosystem degradation. By moving beyond silos and promoting shared responsibility, One Health seeks to foster more sustainable, resilient, and equitable health systems.

The discussions will focus on the themes covered in the report, with particular attention to overlooked aspects in One Health, including the intersections between food systems, water security, environmental change, and population well-being. We will explore the findings and recommendations for operationalising, implementing, and institutionalising One Health for a sustainable future.

Participants will be invited to consider what the report reveals about current blind spots in One Health thinking, where integration is most urgently needed, and how we can collectively shift towards more inclusive, responsive, and future-ready solutions.
